Studio owner comparing Mindbody pricing plans

What you pay for Mindbody depends on your plan, card volume, contract and add-ons, and only part of that is on Mindbody's website.

This guide combines what Mindbody publishes with what studio owners report paying, so you can estimate your monthly bill before a demo.

Prices below are for the United States, checked in October 2026. Mindbody last updated its own pricing guide on October 8, 2026.

Mindbody pricing at a glance

Payment processing Around 3.5% per card payment* Quote only; studio owner reports
Branded app Extra monthly fee Mindbody confirms it, but no price

What each Mindbody plan includes

Starter: from $79 per month

Starter is the only plan with a public price. According to Mindbody, it includes:

  • Booking and integrated payments
  • Branded booking widgets for your website
  • A done-for-you website
  • Business reporting, including AI insights
  • Unlimited staff users and client profiles
  • Dynamic pricing and promoted intro offers
  • ClassPass integration
  • A listing in the Mindbody consumer app
  • Live support and an AI assistant

The price is per location. A studio with two locations pays at least twice.

Accelerate: quote only

Mindbody says Accelerate adds more advanced scheduling, reporting and operational tools, but doesn't list the exact features or price. Third-party reviews put it at roughly $259–$289 per month.

Ultimate: quote only

Mindbody says Ultimate adds marketing automation, lead management and retention tools. There's no public price; reports range from about $469 to $699 per month.

The costs that aren't on the pricing page

The plan price is only part of the bill. Ask about these before signing.

1. Payment processing

Mindbody does not publish its card rate. It says rates are "customized" to your volume and payment mix and shared during the demo. Studio owners commonly report paying around 3.5% per transaction.

Studio owners also report that you have to use Mindbody's own payment processing, with no option to connect your own Stripe or Square account. US businesses can use a surcharging program to pass some of the cost to clients.

Why it matters: at $10,000 a month in card sales, every 0.5% is $50 a month, or $600 a year.

2. Contracts and renewals

Mindbody's pricing guide doesn't mention contract terms. Studio owners commonly report contracts of 12–24 months that renew automatically. Get the minimum term, renewal notice and early-cancellation cost in writing.

3. Setup and onboarding

Mindbody doesn't list a setup fee. Some reviewers say they paid one, and third-party estimates put it around $100–$500, but Mindbody hasn't confirmed a figure. Ask for it in the quote.

4. Add-ons

  • Branded app: Mindbody confirms this costs extra each month but doesn't say how much.
  • Higher tiers: Mindbody lists advanced reporting under Accelerate, and marketing automation and lead management under Ultimate.

5. Marketplace and ClassPass bookings

The Mindbody app listing and ClassPass can bring in new clients, but ClassPass visits pay much less than your drop-in rate: studio owners report getting around 30–40% of it. That can be worth it to fill empty spots, but it isn't free.

How to estimate your real Mindbody cost

Use this formula:

Monthly cost = plan price × locations + (card sales × processing rate) + add-ons

For example, a single-location studio on Starter taking $10,000 a month in card payments at a 3.5% rate:

Item Monthly cost
Starter plan $79
Card processing (3.5% of $10,000) $350
Total before add-ons $429

The same studio on Accelerate (an estimated $259–$289) would pay about $610–$640 a month before add-ons. Plug in your own numbers once you have a quote.

Is Mindbody worth the price?

Mindbody can make sense if you:

  • Run several locations and need advanced reporting
  • Want a listing in the Mindbody app and ClassPass to find new clients
  • Have staff time to learn a large system

It can feel expensive if you:

  • Run one small studio and mostly need bookings, payments and memberships
  • Want to see the full price before talking to sales
  • Want to keep your own payment account, or avoid a long contract

Mindbody vs Time2book pricing

If you're comparing Mindbody with simpler software, here is how Time2book lines up:

Mindbody Time2book
Plan for one studio Starter from $79/month per location Growth: $79/month, or $59/month billed yearly
Cheapest plan Starter from $79/month Starter (solo trainers): $39/month, or $29/month billed yearly
Published pricing Starter only All plans
Free trial Demo instead 7 days, no card needed
Setup fee Not published; estimated $100–$500 None
Contract Reported 12–24 months Monthly billing, cancel anytime (or save with yearly)
Payment processing Reportedly Mindbody's own; rate not published Your own Stripe account; Stripe fees plus a 0.9% platform fee

Time2book is not cheaper on every line. Card fees are likely a little higher: Stripe's standard US rate (2.9% + $0.30) plus our 0.9% platform fee comes to about 3.8% + $0.30 per payment, against the roughly 3.5% Mindbody users report. The difference is that you see every number upfront, your money goes straight into your own Stripe account, and on monthly billing you can leave any month.

Time2book covers class scheduling, client management, online payments, memberships, class packs, waitlists and reminders. See the full Mindbody vs Time2book comparison, or browse all Mindbody alternatives.

Questions to ask Mindbody before you sign

Take this list into your demo and ask for the answers in writing:

  1. What is the exact monthly price for my plan and number of locations?
  2. What is my card processing rate, and are there per-transaction fees on top?
  3. How long is the contract, and does it renew automatically?
  4. What does it cost to cancel early?
  5. Is there a setup or onboarding fee, and can it be waived?
  6. Which features I need are only in Accelerate or Ultimate?
  7. What does the branded app cost?

With those answers, you can compare Mindbody fairly against any other software, including Time2book.
